Make a Tuned Instrument

docsgeneralvideohowtotitle

  • Drag and drop note recordings you’ve played yourself onto the instruments panel
  • The importer will do some pitch analysis and assign notes to the slices - you may need to correct these
  • If a note is missing or incorrect, select the slice and type in the note
  • Use capital letters for sharps and lowercase for naturals
  • If the octave number is incorrect (try using a tuner app on your phone to check them) select the slice and type in the correct number
  • Fine-tuning can be corrected using the + and - buttons on the numeric keypad
  • Fine-tuning can be removed entirely using the * key
  • Once imported, tweak the audio gadget with + and set Sound Type to Instrument
  • In the Pitch page, set the home octave, i.e. the octave you play in when the controller is flat
  • If the octave jumps around when you play, correct individual slice pitch in-game by dragging up or down with the imp on the note number in the Slice Editor
