FAQs

What can I make in this year’s event?

You can carve a pumpkin, design a scarecrow, or build a playable part of our ghost train.

Do I have to make all three creations?

Nope! You can make just one or all three. If you’re a beginner creator, the pumpkin is the place to start, while advanced creators may prefer to do a ghost train segment, but it’s up to you!

How do I submit a creation for inclusion in the event?

We’ve set up All Hallows’ Dreams submissions tools over on our Challenges page you’ll find all the information you need to submit your creations there! Make sure to submit your creations by the given deadline.

The ghost train idea sounds complicated. How’s that going to work?

As long as you carefully follow the guidelines we’ve laid out for creating your part of the ghost train and submit it to the event via our Challenges page, we’ll do the job of stringing it all together.

Depending on the amount of submissions we receive, it may be that we have multiple ghost train rides, just like we had multiple haunted houses last year!

What if I find a part of the ghost train too scary?

Don’t worry - we’ve added an option to skip the current section of the ride if you’re not feeling it.

Okay, but how spooky are we /really/ allowed to get?

As spooky as our age rating allows, basically. Dreams is rated PEGI 12 - you can read more about what that means here(opens in new tab). Your creation should also adhere to our CoMmunity Guidelines.

Submissions will be checked to ensure they aren’t violating any of these guidelines, and those that are found to be doing so may be moderated. (Top tip: we know it’s Hallowe’en and all, but extreme blood and gore probably won’t fly here. It’s best to use your imaginations!)

Why was my creation not included?

You probably got too spooky (defined above), you submitted way past the given deadline, or there was another issue that we couldn’t resolve (often this is the content not being remixable!). We will try to reach out to creators to fix any issues that crop up during submissions if we can. It’s our intention to include all the creations - as long as they abide by the stated guidelines!

The Dreams User Guide is a work-in-progress. Keep an eye out for updates as we add more learning resources and articles over time.
