Cursed Trinket Creation Guidelines
Fancy creating a special decorative bauble that is as supernatural as it is sparkly? Open up The Land of Lost Dreams Kit and get stuck in. Below, you’ll find our full guidelines and top tips for making your personalised Cursed Trinket.
About Cursed Trinkets#
Talismans, charms, mascots, pebbles... What item captures your Dreamiverse essence? Trinkets aren’t always esoteric or magical objects - they can be surprisingly mundane, too! Whatever knick-knack is possessed by your creative spirit, it seems The Land of Lost Dreams has a good chance of ‘acquiring’ it somehow.
Quickstart Guide#
Remix a template#
The easiest way to make a trinket is to start with one of our example objects found in the Cursed Trinkets collection. Remix the object that speaks to you the most.
Create!#
Use Edit Mode to make the trinket template your own. You can sculpt, paint, tint, and add finish to your Trinket - but if you are modifying it, be sure to read the full rules below.
Publish#
Make sure you release your trinket as public and remixable and submit it via this Google Form(opens in new tab) before 9AM BST on 12th September 2022.
Cursed Trinkets: Full Guidelines#
If you would like to create your Trinket from scratch, start by remixing the Blank Trinket Template. A Cursed Trinket can be anything you wish, as long as it adheres to Dreams’ moderation guidelines and complies with the following rules:
Size#
- Your trinket must fit inside the bounding box seen in the Empty Trinket Template, or the bounding box of each of the Trinket Templates in the collection.
Thermo#
- Your trinket must not exceed 2% graphics thermo and 1% gameplay.
General#
- Your trinket must not move or be moveable.
- You can include subtle visual effects such as glow or paint, but these must not exceed the bounding box.
- Any subtle effects must not strobe, glitch or move the body of the object.
- No more than 2 sculptures per trinket.
- Each sculpture must be non-collidable.
Audio#
Your trinket should not include any audio.
