Something's gone wrong!!

The music keeps dropping out#

Music is particularly susceptible to frame rate drops. If when playtesting you notice gaps or slowdown in the music it's a good indicator that your level is not running at frame rate and you need to do some optimisation.

Why don’t my Start and Finish gates work?#

Chances are you’ve forgotten to add Track Logic. The gates need it in the scene to work. You’ll find it in the Tren Set in Gadgets & Helpers. Stamp it anywhere in your scene and the gates will communicate with it and you should be good to go.

Weird stuff is happening with Tren Swap Docks#

Remember each dock needs its own Checkpoint. Otherwise Tren will respawn in the wrong place, which can block progress.

Controllable elements’ prompts are overlapping#

Simple one, this - they’re too close together. Try spacing them out with some track. When controllable elements are too close their activation areas will “fight”. You’ll probably get conflicting behaviours as well as overlapping prompts.

How do I stop Tren derailing on tight curves?#

The tighter the curve and the faster you go the more likely it is that Tren will derail. Use the barriers not just on the curves themselves, but extending them into the straights after the curves. This will help Tren right itself if it tips onto two wheels.

Why are my Route Setters always visible?!#

This can happen when you clone them after time has run. Either clone them before running time, or tweak them and edit their Timer back to 0.

The camera zooms into the vehicles and gets stuck#

If you have large sculptures near the track that the camera is fighting with, tweak them and find the Collision Labels page. At the bottom, set Camera Blocking Mode to Never.
