All About Mm Co-Labs!
Hello from the Outreach team at Mm! We realise that it’s been a minute since we’ve checked in with you, our incredibly talented and creative coMmunity, about what we’ve been up to lately. So let’s give you the scoop on the developments with Mm Co-Labs!
What’s Mm Co-Labs?#
Mm Co-Labs is the umbrella term we use for the various projects we do on the Outreach team. While these projects reach across fields, they’ve got a couple of things in common with each other. The first is that they’re all interdisciplinary, because we love projects which grow and expand the Dreamiverse beyond games as we know them, blending elements from fashion, music, speculative futures, cartoons, and loads more! We want to keep the Dreamiverse a vibrant, thriving, and joyously-mutating ecosystem. Our hybrid, genre-blurring projects help us do that.
The second thing these projects have in common is that everything we do is created in partnership with our Dreams coMmunity! Our coMmunity knows the Dreams tools better than anyone, so who better to team up with? When we’re approached with an idea we want to bring to life, we scour the Dreamiverse for creators we believe will bring just the right spark to a project. Sometimes we hire dreamers to work with us on specific assignments, and sometimes we hire Dreams Specialists, who work with us a few days each month on a regular basis. We’re always on the lookout for new dreamers to work with on Co-Labs projects; stay tuned for a future post about the qualities we look for when we hire coMmunity support!
What’s Next?#
We’re always looking out for the next inspiring thing to work on, and we have quite a few exciting projects up our sleeves. As you may have noticed, we love to partner with cool bands, brands, special events, social causes and lots more! When we’re approached by a potential partner, we make sure the project is a good fit for us and that we have the right balance between what we’ve already agreed to take on and the available people-power we have on our team. If you’ve got a company or an organisation you think we should partner with, or a wild idea you’d like to bring to life in Dreams, drop us a line at madeindreams@mediamolecule.com. We’d love to chat!
In addition to our BIG partnerships, we’ve got plans to work directly with creators in the Dreamiverse, too. Soon we’ll be announcing some details about our incubator programme, where we’ll be working with small cohorts of dreamers to help them level up their skills and bring their dreams to life. We’re also experimenting in partnering with indie games studios to find out what their talents can bring to the Dreamiverse. Want to learn more? Stay tuned!
Until then,
Big love from the Outreach Team and Mm Co-Labs!
