Template scenes and elements have Guides and Auto Guides set up to make creation easier.
Auto Guides#
All the elements in the kit have auto guides. Some are for controlling scale (like Gameplay Elements, which can get broken if you change their size), some for surface snap (items which need to sit nicely on a surface), and some for grid snap (to make the pieces line up so the ball can travel smoothly). It’s highly advisable to keep obey auto guides on when stamping. You may want to turn it off once you’ve stamped something so you can have more control over moving it around.
Grid Snap#
This is restricted to a specific resolution in auto guides. When building a course you may well find that the prescribed resolution is insufficient to allow you to line up a new piece. In this case turn off obey auto guides and use the grid snap guide. Set the resolution that best suits your assembly and allows you to line things up.
Precise Move#
Always useful for assembly, although take care as it allows for more chances of small height differences, affecting how the ball rolls.
The Dreams User Guide is a work-in-progress. Keep an eye out for updates as we add more learning resources and articles over time.
