Assembly Mode

Change Mode

Modes

Right now you're in assembly mode, which is where you will do animation, anything to do with gadgets (logic, sensors, lights and more), and generally assemble your scenes.

In here you'll find the other creation modes - sculpt, paint, coat, style, effects and sound; and some useful utility modes - test, update and photo.

Sculpt Mode

Make everything from a chair to a statue that would inspire a master sculptor. You can use them in your creations, or publish them individually as elements.

Once you enter, everything in your session is new and a single sculpture until you exit sculpture or start new sculpture using the context menu.

To edit an existing sculpture, hover over it and press to select it, then select edit sculpture on the context menu. Or press + while hovering over the sculpture.

Paint Mode

Make paintings using 3D strokes made of flecks strung together. Use them in your creations, or publish them individually as elements.

Coat Mode

Give your existing creations that little extra something. You can tint them, change their hue, make them glow and even give them a special finish.

Load mode

Style Mode

Work with flecks, the little units that make up your strokes and the surface of your sculptures. You can change the fleck used, their direction and whatnot in here.

Load mode

Effects Mode

Animate your flecks with some special effects. The effects include boil, flow, evaporate and more.

Load mode

Sound Mode

Breathe auditory life into your creations - instruments, sound effects, music, and voiceover. Make them from scratch, or use our extensive collections as a start point.

Need a good place to begin? Find an instrument and have a play with it.

Load mode

Test Mode

Play and tweak your creations. In test mode you can grab and possess and so on as you can in play mode, but you can also use tweak menus as you can in edit mode.

Changes you make to tweaks will persist when you rewind. Changes to sculptures will not. This is about tweaking your gadgets rather than editing your scene.

Load mode

Update Mode

Manage updates to any of the elements in your scene. If you used something from another dreamer they may have improved or changed it since.

Or you may have updated something you created yourself and want the new version in your scene. Here is where you can see and manage changes.

Photo Mode

Takes a photo of your current view. You can find your photos by visiting your profile via the main menu or the homespace.
