Frame-by-Frame
Make your own frame-by-frame animations. Draw a frame, hit next, draw another frame, and so on. View the frames using +/, or the next/previous buttons.
To see your animation in full, exit paint mode, tweak the painting, and select an animation type from the frame-by-frame page. Then press to play it.

Then use start time and your frame-by-frame will play.
Previous
Go to the previous frame.
Next
Go to the next frame.
Insert
Insert a frame.
Delete
Delete current frame.
Onion Skinning
Turn onion skinning on or off. In traditional animation, where transparent paper ("onion skin") is used, you can see the previous frames underneath the one you're drawing.
Here you can choose which frames you want to see by cycling through the options to the right, and they will appear in translucent form to help you work.
