Scarecrow Template Guidelines

General Guidelines#

  • The Scarecrow template must remain at no more than 3% for graphics and 3% for gameplay on the thermometer. To check your thermometer, open up the assembly menu with , select Show/Hide and from there, Thermometer .
  • You may not resize the scarecrow template. Use the Ruler in the scene to make sure you are within the boundaries. If it’s hidden, open up the assembly menu with , select Tools Hide , then Unhide All from the context menu. You’re free to delete this once the scarecrow is fully designed (i.e. right before submitting).
  • You may design out from the scarecrow template’s surface, but use the Ruler as a guide to gauge that your sculpting is within the boundaries set by the Ruler.
  • You may sculpt onto the scarecrow’s surface, but you may not alter its shape.
  • Two areas are frozen: the stick supporting the head and the bottom. You may not unfreeze these.
  • You may not edit or resize the Ruler.
  • You may not submit anything copyrighted or that infringes upon somebody else’s IP (opens in new tab)Create something original! Your creation must also adhere to our CoMmunity Guidelines.
  • Audio is not permitted.

Sculpting Your Scarecrow#

New to sculpting in Dreams? Check out the tutorial in-game, or read step-by-step instructions here!

  • To sculpt onto the surface of the template, hover over the scarecrow and Scope In with + twice, which will take you into Sculpt Mode . From there, you can get started on sculpting!
  • You may use Flecks, Finishes and add up to TWO additional sculpts (e.g. a hat and a pitchfork, or a tie and a pair of glasses) onto your scarecrow, so long as everything is below the aforementioned 3% limit. Any additional sculptures over this limit are subject to removal.
  • You may not increase the detail on the scarecrow above the set limit on the thermometer.
  • You may tweak the properties of the scarecrow. Scope In and use + to tweak it. You can adjust most of the tweaks on the first page, Outer Properties, and the second page, Inner Properties. But please note:
    • You may not adjust the Emit Light From Glow settings.
    • The limit on Glow is 25%. Glow on the sculpture will affect surrounding objects.
  • You may not use any other tweaks on any other pages.
  • You may use Style and Spraypaint, as well as Paint, but please do not use Looseness.
  • These rules apply to any additional properties and sculpture that you include on your scarecrow.
