DreamsCom '22 Day 3 - All the News

And that’s it! That's all, folks! DreamsCom ’22, like all good things, is coming to an end. But before we close the doors on another rip-roaring show as made by the Dreams coMmunity, let’s work through the highlights from our second coMmunity day, which will forever be known throughout history as... Day 3!

Day 3’s stream was another one focused on chatting about some of the best that the Dreams coMmunity has to offer, and just some of our highlights included:

  • kimerakii, a multi talented character artist, voice actor and streamer. She's also the creator of A Handy Guide to Voice Acting and Directing in Dreams!, an indispensible guide for those looking to give their Dreams creations some cinematic oomph.
  • StinoAlpino joined us on stream to talk about CUBUS, a 2D platformer where you propel a cube on stilts across a variety of brainscrambling puzzle levels, made in collaboration with DeDefourkes. You can check out the demo and the full game right now in Dreams.
  • You'll likely have seen us show this one off before, as it has taken our collective breaths away many a time, but Sword of Akaana continues to impress. We were joined by luke_972, the creator of this ambitious and impressive RPG inspired by games such as Kingdom Hearts and Xenoblade. You can jump into the demo in Dreams right now.

But hey, we couldn't leave you lovely lot just yet. We've got one more stream today at 5pm BST over on our Twitch channel - we're going to catch up with DreamsFest '22 head honcho beardofcats88 before the big coMmunity-made festival kicks off, maybe spend some time playing some games, kicking back, relaxing, all cool. Maybe wear pyjamas. (Seriously, for last year's Friday stream, we were in our slippers.)

With that, however, DreamsCom '22 will be over for this year. But don't get too down, as you can relive the fun with our past DreamsCom streams over on our Twitch(opens in new tab) and TikTok(opens in new tab) channels. And if you really miss us, don't forget to tune in for our regularly scheduled weekly streams every Tuesday and Thursday from 5PM BST.

And don't forget, if you haven't aleady taken a look at our DreamsCom '22 Magazine, you should! Right now! It's the one thing that might take the edge off the fact that DreamsCom is over for another year. That, or a really big slice of cake. Why not both? Both is good.

But don't worry: you can still explore the DreamsCom '22 show floor right now in Dreams, though! So is it really over? Nay, the spirit of DreamsCom '22 lives on!

And now, some bonus coMmunity highlights from DreamsCom '22 Day 3. This is only available in English for the time being.

Past Liam, what is the past like? Is everything in black-and-white? And when will you return from the time vortex? Solo blogging is hard. Anyway, it's Present Jen on the mic once again, to catch you up on all of the Day 3 fun and frolics at DreamsCom '22.

CoMmunity Reactions#

An algorave pre-show(opens in new tab), more dev sessions, and scavenger hunting aplenty on the show floor - it was a busy third day at Dreams' coMmunity expo.

One of the best shmups in Dreams is getting a sequel! With super-smooth moves and even a parry system, this follow-up is set to be just as compulsive as the much-loved original game. Here's the community take on the demo, courtesy of the creator of ZED EXODUS (and many more):

A Funny Clip#

The DreamsCom mind-meld was in full effect yesterday, as an anecdote about Jen's Dream Flix-watching activities caused Tom, Jen and KeldBjones to all come up with the same shorts-based joke(opens in new tab) at the same time. Is this what a writer's room is? It's pretty fun.

See you from 4pm BST today over on Twitch(opens in new tab) for THE FINAL DAY OF STREAM! How bittersweet.
