Tren Template Contents
Templates contain special scenes to help you get started creating your own.
Layouts Playground#
An example puzzle track, where you can explore what the Tren Set has to offer at your leisure and have fun while doing it. There’s no better way to get some inspo than playing what someone else has created using the kit.
Track Playground#
An incredibly minimal timed track with deliveries. Take it apart to see how it works, or use it to build upon to make your own tracks.
Play & Edits#
The Play & Edit scenes walk you through using the various elements. Each has a corresponding collection (a small subset of the full kit), which contains all the elements you’ll need in that particular Play & Edit. They’re pinned in the Dreamiverse when you go to Search to make it easy for you. It’s beneficial to have at least done the Start Dreaming 1-4 tutorials before you embark on these.
Layout P&E: Beginner#
The very simple basics. Mostly you’ll just be stamping, cloning and tweaking, while learning about some of the easiest elements to handle.
Layout P&E: Intermediate#
A wee bit trickier but still not at all hard. Looking at more elements and introducing concepts like groups and scope.
Layout P&E: Advanced 1#
Training (trenning?) gloves off. Trickier elements, plenty of wiring, transmitters and receivers… pay attention at the back!
Layout P&E: Advanced 2#
There’s no sugar-coating it - this is some brain-twisting stuff. A good deep look at emitters and how to make them more efficient.
Track P&E#
We show you how key elements come together to make a timed or non-timed track, and how to tweak and balance them.
Layout Foundation#
More or less a blank starting point, with just some music and a few notes. No Start/Finish Gates or Track Logic. Just a chance to get used to laying some track.
Track Foundation#
Ready to make a game? Same as the Layout one, but with Start and Finish Gates and Track Logic. Just put some track between the gates and let it happen. Play around with the switches and sliders and see what they do.
The Dreams User Guide is a work-in-progress. Keep an eye out for updates as we add more learning resources and articles over time.
